Mr. Salvatori, a math teacher here at Highline High School, has been teaching for fourteen years. He loves his job because he gets to work with students. He says his favorite thing about teaching is “especially when they’re (students) frustrated from not understanding and finally understand it.” Some of his favorite hobbies are gardening, fixing clocks, and collecting clocks. If you haven't noticed yet he has numerous clocks all around his classroom. As well as his new collection of catfish behind his desk.
Mr. Salvatori lived in Kansas in his younger years and went to a Catholic school named Bishop Miege High School. He then moved to Washington for his college years after his parents moved out here. Mr. Salvatori went to Central Washington for two and a half years, then went to Evergreen State for a year and a half for his masters. Salvatori explained he never thought he’d be a teacher. He learned that, out of all his previous jobs, the thing he liked doing most was the teaching. His wife had also told him that she realized he was most happy teaching.
