One of the biggest events this year is being hosted by Highline High School’s Asian Student Union together with Foster High School’s Asian Student Association; the Asian Cultural Festival will be held at our very own school on Friday 14th from 4PM - 6PM. The event will have food, performances, and games.
Originally, this event was to be a Lunar New Year celebration. However, the officers wanted to include more cultures and to have more people involved. According to one of the club officers, Khoa Tran, they “wanted it to be more inclusive of all Asian cultures.”, which is a great way to bring the community together. Also, having another school involved in this event will help to bring more people and to know more about the Asian culture.
If you would like to participate in the festival as a performer you can sign up on this website: https://tinyurl.com/tgb5ol4. You can also bring food from your culture and participate in the games. If you have any other questions, you can contact the club advisor, Ms. Tina Nguyen or the club president, Penelope Phan. Bring your family and friends and we hope to see you then.
