Kirsten Gunn
Born and raised in Rochester, MN, Mrs. Gunn ventured west at the age of eighteen. She attended Willamette University in Salem, OR, graduating with a BA in English.
Still undecided on a career path, she moved to the Seattle area and worked in Human Resources at a local insurance brokerage while pursuing interests in dance and theatre. Her first teaching experience was working as a choreographer for a summer theatre program for teens.
It was after this Mrs. Gunn decided to combine her interest in working with teenagers with her love of reading. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching at Seattle Pacific University and became a school librarian.
Mrs. Gunn has been the Teacher Librarian at Highline High School since the fall of 2004 and earned her National Board Certification in Library Media in 2011.
