Dear Highline Pirate Families,
We are so excited to welcome our Pirates back to learning next week! Advisors are calling homes today and Tuesday to extend a personal welcome to all families and to determine ways they can support you as remote learning begins. Here are some important details we wanted to share for next week.
Remote Learning Begins Next Week
Wednesday 9/9: All students are expected to access the google classrooms of all of their quarter 1 classes to complete start-of-the-year learning materials and assignments. On Wednesday’s attendance will be determined based on the completion of a daily attendance question for each period.
Thursday 9/10: Live Zoom instructional blocks begin. The bell schedule for these classes is included below and is posted on our Highline High School website. Students should plan on attending and learning throughout the full 85 minutes of each instructional block. If you experience issues with accessing these classes, please contact your advisor for support because it is very important that students make it to their zoom classes each day. Zoom classroom links will be posted no later than Tuesday 9/8.
Chromebook Distribution and Hotspot Requests
We will distribute Chromebooks on Tuesday, 9/8 from 3pm-7pm in the parking lot of Hazel Valley Elementary school. If you need a hotspot for internet access, please contact your student’s counselor and they will put in a request for you. We will not have hotspots next Tuesday.
Thank you and see you next week.
