HHS Announces new Head Basketball Coach

Highline High School (HHS) is excited to announce Djuan Piper as its new head basketball coach.

Piper has served as the head junior varsity coach and assistant head coach at Decatur High School and Foster High School. He has also coached and trained with Excel Basketball in Tacoma and served as head coach for Totem Middle School. 

“I am excited to join the Highline High School community. I am most looking forward to working with our student-athletes on and off the court, building long-lasting relationships and uniting a community,” said Piper. 

In high school, Piper play basketball at Rainier Beach High and played for the National High School Basketball Championship his senior year. He also played on year of college basketball at North Idaho College. Piper is currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management from Grand Canyon University

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Djuan Piper to the Pirate family. Djuan has what it takes to create a quality basketball program with a winning culture,” said HHS Athletic Director Lori Box.
